Proof
of ownership, or residence is a standard procedure prior
to gaining entry or making any key (registration,
driver's license, utility bill, etc.).
Rekeying
a
lock is the process of replacing the pin tumblers of a
lock cylinder with other tumblers of different sizes, so the
lock will require a different key to operate. The new key
will coincide with the new tumblers and the old key will no
longer work. Re-keying locks is something that should be
done if you have moved into a new residence or lost a set of
keys. Re-keying locks is usually significantly less
expensive than replacing locks.
Should
you like to replace or upgrade your hardware, we have
multiple selections and grades available. You can
increase your home's security by adding deadbolts, single or
double sided. Double sided deadbolts are recommended if a
window exists within reaching distance. You also can add
locks to your patio doors - we have several types to choose
from depending on your needs.
